Chess lessons, structured around what you actually need next.
Individual instruction for children and adults, from complete beginner to intermediate. Every lesson covers real chess — and pays attention to how you're playing it, not just what you're playing.
Chess for beginners
For students who are new to the game or shaky on the fundamentals. Piece movement, basic rules, elementary tactics, and how to read a board — taught at a pace that builds real understanding, not memorized moves.
Improvement & intermediate training
For players who know the rules and want to actually get better. Opening principles with real reasoning behind them, tactical pattern recognition, positional understanding, and a plan for the plateau you're currently stuck on.
Children's chess lessons
Real chess content, paced for a young player's attention and development. Concentration, patience, and a healthy relationship with losing are built alongside the game itself — not as an afterthought.
Game analysis
Bring a game you played — win or lose. We go through it together: what happened on the board, what you were thinking (or feeling) at the key moments, and what to take from it.
Tournament preparation
Practical preparation for competitive play — opening repertoire choices, time management, pre-game routine, and how to reset between rounds after a difficult result.
Ongoing 1:1 coaching
A standing weekly or biweekly slot built around a development plan specific to you, revisited regularly as your game and your goals change.
One rate for every lesson type.
Beginners, kids, intermediate players, tournament prep, or ongoing coaching — every lesson is priced the same. All sessions are currently 1-on-1, 60 minutes. Group lessons and a subscription plan are on the way as the roster of students grows.
4–5 Lesson Pack
Booked within the same month. Best for steady, weekly progress.
6–10 Lesson Pack
Booked within the same month. For committed, ongoing coaching.
Payment can be made before each lesson or at the start of the month, depending on how many lessons that month includes. Pack pricing applies when lessons are scheduled within the same month. Lessons can be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the session — after that, the lesson is considered taken.
A first lesson, then a plan built around you.
-
01 — First lesson
We figure out where you actually are.
Not a placement test — a real conversation and a few positions, so the lessons that follow are built for you specifically.
-
02 — A plan
A structure for what we'll cover and why.
Openings, tactics, endgames, and the mental patterns worth paying attention to — sequenced sensibly, not randomly.
-
03 — Regular lessons
Consistent sessions, adjusted as you go.
Held online, with game review and light homework between sessions when it's useful.
One lesson is enough to know if this fits.
No long commitment required up front. Book a first lesson and we'll take it from there.
